and i am not saying that welfare is a bad thing people need help from time to time but this is ridiculous. Things that need to happen to fix welfare
1. mandatory drug tests
2. better job placement services ( my personal favorite is to take well fare recipients and make them work the American harvest instead of migrant workers.)(only problem with that is more people abuse welfare and are lazy and the migrant workers do a better job.)
3. Cap the amount of money set aside per person per quarter also with this cap put a cap on the number of people who can receive welfare at one time i.e make it 20 million instead of unlimited number of applicants
4. Adjust the caps quarterly based on the economic situation of the country i.e tighten or loosen the belt based on how much we can actually afford.
I filled out an app for food stamps in January cause i had to so i could get some medical bills covered...I qualified for like 100 dollars a month in food stamps ( most of my income is through working for myself since the job market tanked for me.) i saw that and was like WTF I of course denied it because i don't need anyone to take care of me.
the same arguments for the reform of Social security and medicare pretty much all government services can be made.... Can anything name one thing that works right in Americas government....
i have no clue why i felt posting up an all day spill about welfare......
