This is not something to kid about ... they need to be looking for those words

Personally I am happy that they are monitoring social media to look for these jack holes.

An attack on US soil again must be prevented ... it only takes a handful of terrorist to cause major havoc ... and take more civil liberties away from us

I flew on the day that they got the ones with the explosive fluids ... that day sucked ... missed all my appointments and had to go buy more stuff before I got to the hotel ...

The life our GOVT. saves might be yours or a loved one .... the US has some major enemies, that will stop at nothing to hurt civilians.

This goes beyond who sits in the oval office ...

Absolutely agreed. Our armed forces, as well as the other services with clandestine units (CIA, FBI, Secret Service, Treasury Dept. NSA, DS) don't get nearly enough support. In fact, this administration is a proponent of prosecuting members of those services, for the jobs they did, that had a direct impact on protecting us.

A good read is Cheney's "In My Time", which gives several shout outs to these guys and gals and the great work they've done. Plus he mentions the various ill-advised precedents that this administration has purposely stepped into.

X 2 to Oleander's post. However, I reserve judgement on monitoring-we HAD rights that have been ignored/changed and usurped by the Gummint-where will it stop is of great concern. Perhaps had Customs and Immigration done their jobs and not allowed illegals in this country, some things would not have happened IMO-and the harrassing of grandmothers is not the solution-harass the ones that are from Terroristic countries coming here-not some 85 y.o. granny that obviously aint some islamic extremist-waste of resources and time-anyone with a lick of sense should check Abdul Ayatollah Habib, not Granny Hilda Johnson or Granny Emma Washington. let's not forget how HLS now checks babies and mothers as well-if they aint Middle Eastern, then why waste our time feeling up some obvious Protestant/Methodist/Baptist/Catholic/Pentacost-go after the ones with a towel-yes, it is profiling-but until some 85 y.o. christian granny does something awful (which should never happen), why not profile? WTH do ya think scanning your emails is?

x5 on that. I was down in Presidio earlier this year to work on upgraded housing for them. They've been living in trailers that FEMA rejected for flood/hurricane victims....

They had quite a few stories to tell about how they're being overrun by the better equipped and funded cartels.
