Herr Obama is going to REJECT the Keystone Pipeline-all based on the line running through Nebraska and the aquifer potential to pollute. Pure unadulterated BS. If a pipeline bursts, it don't throw millions of barrels of oil-maybe 100 BO before it is shut down. Look at Stingray Pipeline in the Guklf-it has had several leaks-not one of which has been an environmental disaster, sdo WTF is this such an "environmental disaster waiting to happen"? Liars. Pipeline companies know almost immediately when a line breaks and they take immediate action. This aint a High Pressure Gas Pipeline that can explode because some idjit dug into it with a backhoe-it is an oil pipeline and will be buried 48-60" deep. So septic tanks don't pollute your water, why is a pipeline that aint made like a septic tank, worse than a septic tank?

The only JOBS obama has created is more gummint jobs-which in effect is more tax burden on the folks that pay taxes (the 1% and the 90%-not the 10% living purely on welfare and gummint handouts while sitting on their butt watching their 52" big screen TV and smoking crack).

Obama says he wants to create jobs and also says he wants the US to be less energy dependent on the Middle east-he is nothing but a stinking lying POS. May God save the USA from him and the other complete lying Morons.

What jobs has Obama created-please someone tell me where he actually helped the economy? President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness has recommended that the U.S. increase extraction of oil, natural gas, and coal, broaden America’s tax base, and expand government support for research and development. The job council says that these changes will revive the economy and help the United States remain competitive.


The Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, which is headed by Jeffrey Immelt, chairman and CEO of General Electric, presented its 72-page report today, outlining their plan for economic recovery. The Council hopes that the changes will be able to help reverse a number of declines in the United States’ global standing. “We have lost ground in metrics ranging from education to infrastructure to export,” Immelt said.


President Obama has said there has already been “substantial progress” on the panel’s recommendations, and that his administration has already taken action on 33 of the 35 items that don’t require legislative approval. He says they have already completed action on 16 of the items, which include streamlining the process for government permits and consolidating the various government trade and commerce agencies.


House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) claims that the Council’s recommendations are “the approach to job creation House Republicans have been pursuing for more than a year.” Various news outlets, including the LA Times and USA Today, have also said that many of the recommendations in the report have a conservative tilt or are otherwise similar to ideas backed by Republicans.

WASHINGTON - Business leaders who advise President Barack Obama recommended Tuesday an "all-in" energy approach to encourage more development of conventional and renewable energy on federal lands to create jobs and boost U.S. energy security.

Obama's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness suggested leasing more federal lands and speeding up approvals for oil, gas and coal production while ensuring solid safety standards. The report, which outlines other measures such as tax reform and regulatory overhaul to create jobs, also urged more leasing and quicker decisions about renewable-energy projects on federal lands.

"The council recognizes that providing access to more areas for drilling, mining and renewable energy development is controversial," the advisers said, "but, given the current economic situation, we believe it's necessary to tap America's assets in a safe and responsible manner."

The council, chaired by Jeffrey Immelt, CEO of Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric Co., also recommended policies to:

Boost fuel and energy efficiency.

Hasten approval for pipelines, transmission lines and distribution. YEAH, LIKE REJECTING KEYSTONE YA DUMB *******

Interesting stuff Jerry...just got back in town and I got to have dinner with the nations largest oil and gas royalty owner at 1.4 bill a year. He was on the phone with Newt a few weeks back discussing US Energy policy, specifically the Alaskan Pipeline...straight from Newt, right now ANY battle that is energy vs EPA energy will lose. There are more people in this country who back them than back people who believe as we do. Newt says this will simply take time AND much higher crude prices. This will not change period until it hits their wallet harder...face it. I don't like it but that is the way it is for now..all we can do is educate.

Another fact from Newt...the largest money supporter of the EPA is what industry? Give up?
