  • 4/14: First Turkey

Took the boys up near San Angelo this weekend for their first hunting trip. My 9 year old had a nice gobbler come by early Saturday morning but we couldn't get a shot. He smoked a jake Saturday afternoon and another one this morning. My 12 year old took a jake this morning. We called up a nice gobbler late in the morning but we couldn't get him close. I think the whispered chorus of 'there he is....there he is...' may have contributed.

Boy, we passed a good time.
