Maybe true, but I got a lease 5 minutes away from the house for those little dove. Gonna have fun with my 3 year old son and the 12 week old lab. Could care less if we get one (well at least one)..

You are more than welcome to come join one day. I will let you know if we get lots of birds.
Yeah, going out for a quick dove hunt is a lot less work then waking up at 3am, launching the boat, getting all wet, muddy, and mosquito-bit for some ducks. Plus you also get to shoot a lot if they are in thick. Except the time I bought a "dove lease" a few years back. Paid some good cash for it and drove all the way to Rosenberg for 2 dove. Went teal hunting a few days later on public not 45 minutes away and got my limit of 4 plump tasty teal. I was thinking, "why did I even bother with the dove?.

This year me and a couple of friends are going to my buddy's family property in San Angelo for the central dove opener. I went 3 years ago and the action was insane. Supposed to be even better this year with more maize on the property.

I am always down to join up for some dove hunting, birds or no birds. Getting out in the field is half the fun.
