  • Guided Gator Hunt

    Been talking about doing this last couple of years and this year started looking around at prices. Nothing is cheap out there! Seeing up to $4,000. That being said I figured I would ask if anyone on here knows anyone or can suggest an outfit to call. I would like to do more than simply kill a gator someone has on a line. I would prefer to set the lines, bait the lines, pull one in, and get to be trigger man. I'm willing to PAY to work. For this kind of money I just would like to experience the whole thing instead of paying $4k to stand in a boat, watch someone else do all the work, then squeeze the trigger one time. I understand taxidermy costs would vary so if they offer that too then great.

    Any help?

            Brad;

            One of my buddies runs a place for their company (Hunting Club). I got to go and been invited. Problem was the gator was "free" to kill, but costs about $1000 just for the skin and meat, then more $ for tanning, then more $ for boots/wallet/belt, so I figured it'd total about $2500+ and I don't wear boots often enuf-and the ones I would wear aint $1000 pair that I'd ruin-just overall wasn't real practical-plus the skeeters drive ya crazy-just my $0.02. Another option is the Murphree Wildlife refuge-2 of my buddies won draws for gators there and killed em and was cheap-ya oughta check into that thru TPWD (and these guys are cheapskates, so it had to be very inexpensive)-they got 8 & 9'ers-only issue I saw is they had em tanned a light tan-was ugly-shoulda been dark.
            "Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

                They're used to be some good ones down Halls bayou. I can get you down there Chris, but like the baddest 140 lb. man alive, Willie Edwards says " If you think you can do it, good luck to ya." I get Jonathon to bring the video equipment and I watch intently from the back of the boat. lol

                        your best bet is to win a draw hunt. other than that, gator hunting ain't cheap. we had gators on the duck lease but when it dried up last year, they all left. Find someone with land along the coast and offer to pay for the tags.
