Went up to the lease this weekend to do a little repair on the camp and move some stands etc. etc. etc., got a lot of rain over the weekend for the whole general area but everything was still green lots and lots of hog sign especially at my river bottom stands, saw a few does but my favorite moment of all, last time i was up i put up my camera at my feeder and , wait for it, forgot to put new batteries in it !!! But all in all its looking like a great year for deer and hogs in the area, as long as all those **** duck hunters blasting away on the river dont scare everything off !! just kidding, Posted this up incase some of yall hunt the area and was wondering how the landscape was doing. I'm headed to Nacogdoches this weekend to do feed plots and fill feeders-we are on Lake Nacogdoches and it's WAY down-good news is, we can see the hog trails really good this year and the acorn crop was light, so I hope we'll have a good year-several 140+ B&Cs have been taken.

Im heading to woodville next weekend for Gun season (MDL 3), Labor day weekend it rained constantly all weekend right after I planted oats and filled the feeders.

how did you get the permits ?? we are right inbetween colmensneil and zavalla on the neches. good luck !!

I'm in Colmesneil off 255 inbetween there and Rockland just east of 69. The biologist gets the permits for us not sure how.
