Fishing this past weekend was pretty damn good. Saturday was a beautifull day, almost to nice. Light NE winds and water temp. started at 53 degrees. Working soft plastics very slowly on a mud/shell bottom, I picked up a limit and released another limit. The bite at first was very light, just felt a little resistance at the end of the line. As the water warmed up and the fish got a little more aggressive. Bite seemed to end by 10 AM as the wind was dying. Went back again today, water temp. had warmed up to 56, and caught another limit on corkies. The fish were feeding better than the day before. No big trout, but they averaged around 3 lbs. About mid-morning I moved off to a shallow mud flat with scattered shell. Throwing a pink corky, I released a 5 lb. trout and another one that was 7-7.5 lbs., 27". Missed a few others and thought I had another big girl, but turned out to be a 28" red that mangled my corky. looking forward to going back later this week. Tight lines everyone.
