This weekend was great for wade/beach fishing. Finally the waters and the air started heating up. We fished the north side of San Luis Pass Sunday between 9:30-3:30. My crew caught 14 fish total; 2 sheepshead, 8 Stingrays, and 4 Ladyfish. The only reason we stopped was because the tide came in and we couldn't fish off the first sandbar anymore without waders. We kept the two sheepshead and filleted them.

The two sheepshead we caught were similar in size, 19 and 19.5 inches long from ugly teeth to tail and between 12 and 15 pounds. My scale isn't that precise. Like i said we caught 8 rays and as you can see, from my bottom feeding leader, I caught 2 rays simultaneously myself. It was a fun day. We didn't mind the stingers, we got used to it rather quickly. Many beers were had afterward. Hope you guy's weekend was as fun as mine.
