I threw off my Black/SilvGlitter/Pink Belly. I've probably caught a hunnerd trout on that lure. If the water had been clearer, I would have dove in for it. Damn near cried. Db....yeah it was braided line....

You caught the major feeding period between 8 and 10 am , and you were in the right spot . I thought the water would be low and an incoming tide better so i didn't consider west bay . Read my trip post and i had thought it out with the tides and water depths , the stars aligning with jupiter , and my horoscope predictions for that day to fish lower galveston bay . What do i know !? Super trip , very good trout ! You got back from a hiatus with a resounding success . Congratulations !

No thanks! I have several (3) different "slick" stringers. The problem is, they all sink and wind up around your feet. I generally don't keep many fish so the one I use is fine.

Funny thing is, two boats came by and I waved 'em both to come in and catch some fish. One guy went further down the shoreline, pulled in, fished about 10 minutes and left.

I am looking for spots to park and wade West Bay. Do you have any advice? Thanks.
