Went wading near seawolf park. Water looked great (green). I could see the top of my boots in about waist deep water. Caught a few 14-15 in flounder (all were released), caught a 2ft shark. Scared the chit out of me. It took off in between my legs and got tangled. Bait was everywhere as were trash fish eating my gulp.

Boy I tell ya, heart was racing for bout 30 min. Through my past experiences I'd rather deal with the bigger ones.

I could certainly live without encountering another one, but I'm actually more afraid of gafftops!

Nice report and thanks. In all my 58 years I've never fished Sea Wolf. Curmudgeon, I'm most afraid of rays, then hardheads, with sharks a distant 3rd. Gafftops on the other hand have bailed out a trip or two in the past (sometimes even on arties at the MOB). Throw them in the bed of your truck, stop at the first car wash and hose them down with the high pressure rinse, then throw them on ice and fillet them when you get home. The meat is just fine.
