  • Mid-Day Wade

I went to my first spot and was wading clear water over sand & grass, but there wasn't much bait showing and no bites. The second spot was similar, with sand, grass, and mud. There was also a decent semi-gut. Nothing for about 45 minutes, then about 1:30 I had a bite on a Blk/Prl Devil and a big trout was up shaking. 5# on the boga....but gill hooked and the gill was torn, so I strung it. A few casts later a replay, but this fish was 6 1/4 # and was released. I pecked away and lost a couple, threw back a couple, and ended up stringing four more just keeper trout.
Things are changing fast in West Bay now!

Way to get 'em Kenny. We fished from the boat in East Bay with little luck. Glad to hear West Bay is turning on.
