Well I must say, I was expecting more this evening. I got out to my shore line about 45 minutes before the tide shift. The tide was trickling out and I just couldn't help but try and pick up a few flat fish. I was not disappointed, but they were not much to look at 3 right around 12 inches. When I went to grab my last flatty of the day, it was covered with leeches and sea lice. I didn't even want to hold onto it after I saw that. Then the tide shifted and I started picking up trout and reds, but they were just dinks and rats. I did manage to get 1 solid trout on the line, but I didn't even bother keeping her.
As for boater traffic, it was pretty heavy today. The most surprising thing, was that it was a group of teens that were the most respectful when passing me. They killed their engine, and paddled past me with oars. Most of the others just flew through wide open, killing my bite for 15 minutes at a time.
