Myself and Hogie70 hit it early this morning just before daylight.We jumped out of the boat and within a few casts,the topwater beatdown was commenced.Started off with the "Gary Coleman"(whatcho talkin' bout Willis) and busted a few before the sun came up.We switched over to the Clown jr. and never took it off.These trout were coming out of the water running bait and busting those spooks.We could'nt count how many blow-ups and misses.Several trout would clobber it and pull off.The ones that stuck were eating it.We were casting in all directions and bustin' em.They were anywhere from knee deep to waist.The wind started picking up about 9-9:30,but we were done by then.Strung 19,all solid fish and pissed off.Some of these fish did somersaults over the clowns.A great topwater bite,steady action all morning.Looking foward to the trout tourney next Saturday.
