Ryan and I finally got to go fishing. It had been over two months since we last went, so we were looking forward to today. With light winds predicted right before the front, we were expecting to kill em. Well, we woke up and the front was already well in and the winds were howling. Ryan asked if I still wanted to go and I said HECK YEAH!!!! I was excited that we were finally getting to go again together. We get on 45 and the wind is blowing REALLY good!!! We knew that mid bay was out of the question so we were hoping the bait would be hugged close to the shoreline. When we got in, indeed the bait was hugged tight and very nervous. We were able to get the wind a little to our back and cast towards the bait. Immediate blowups in 3-4ft of water. They weren't extremely aggressive, but good enough to string quick limits. Released a bunch more. Sometimes we had fish on every cast. Many missed blowups and we both had one break off. TTF was good to us today. I hit my biggest trout of the day (21") on a bone flush. When they stopped taking tops, we hit em on Trout Killers and Red Killers. Wind finally became too much a little after 10 so we called it a day. Fish were from 16-21". No pictures of Ryan's fish. West Bay is about to explode after this front settles. Water is still a bit warm.
