  • Morning major

Solid black spooks have been the ticket(at least until the sun comes up).Myself and Fishinaddiction hit the lower end early this morning for the major. The majority of our fish were caught between 6-9 am on the outgoing, all on spook jr's.Black, clown and pink/chrome were the ticket.Jonathon strung 9 trout up to 24"(don't know if he got a photo,I had to leave for the weigh-in).I strung 5 trout and a limit of reds.Nothing huge, but solid action for 3 hours straight. The fish were shallow, thigh to waist and running bait the entire time. The front that is pushing through right now will push those big girls up tight.Look for some good fish to be caught in the next week.

      Nice stringer!
Same up my way. Two good trout in the dark on a black super spook, and two more when it was orange on the horizon on Jimmy Houston SS jr. one more blow-up but that was it.

It was a great morning for sure. Right as that red ball started to show itself on the horizon, i looked at my brother who was hooked up on top, then I look at Jamin and he is hooked up, as I am twitching my black jr watching them dance with their fish, Boom, fish on. It continued to be fish on for the next hour and a half. It was my brothers first fish on top, so congrats to Todd. Next week should be good. Fall is here!
