SLP Flats 6-13

[Tro-Trout]

Since the wind was supposed to lay down i decided to go fish the pass this morning. Started wading around 6:00 in waist deep to knee deep water. It was pretty slow fishing I got 2 trout on and 1 nice red on top and some good blow ups. Switched over to jigs and caught some rat reds and 1 more keeper trout. Some storms started coming through so I decided to head in early but it stared pouring just as I was about to start the long walk back to the truck. It was a good trip over all the water behind the pass looked pretty good not as clear as it usually does but defiantly good considering the SW wind we've had forever I was using a chrome/chartreuse top dog and TTF trout killers

good catch. Awhile back i was wading in that area by the new condos, and just as i was walking in the water i smelt smoke... Looked around and then saw the smoke... It was coming from those condos then as i looked closer i saw embers! so i haul *** over there and the mulch was on fire in the flower bed. Luckily it was a south wind and was pushing the embers towards the bay not the condos. Im guessing someone was bar b q ing on their deck and threw the coals off when they were done.... NOT a good idea!!

Wish I had a boat lol Be careful driving back behind the pass better have a 4x4 its surprisingly muddy
