went fishing saturday morning. in the water at 7am out at 1pm. caught 5 keeper flounder. bite was a bit strange. i kept getting hits, but could not hook up. started to slow down, and i caught one. still kept getting short bites. slowed it down some more, and that did the trick. wind would blow, then slow down, then blow again. i was thinking about using topwater, but kept getting hits on plastic. lure used was a rootbeer/glow paddle tail. i switched over to ZOOM fluke, but kept missing them. switched back to the paddle tail, and slowed it down and that was the key. great day to be in the water. relaxed, didn't have to work, and caught fish.
