Friday night I went to Pelican Island. Parked in a lot just after crossing the bridge. I took my rod and gig, and was asked to leave as soon as I reached the water by a guard. He said it was A&M property. So that was a wasted trip.
I knew you were not allowed to fish east of the bridge, but thought the west side was OK.
Returned Saturday afternoon and hit Sea Wolf on the channel side. Only 4 or 5 trucks were there so I knew it was going to be a slow day.
Not sure how the other people did, because they were to far away. I got one bite and landed her. A nice 21" flounder. The cold fronts lately have been good for the weekdays, but really slow on the weekends.
I was throwing a tandem rig using pink and chartreuse. She hit the pink.
