While everybody was busy shopping i was launching my kayak and paddling out at sunrise. I had the whole area to myself. Other than some duck hunters i was the only one fishin the area. The tide was already ripping out when i got there. I started at a marsh drain and was only able to catch lots of rat reds. I started wading deeper and the fish started getting bigger. First keeper was a 22in red. I then got into some trout. The trout bite was non stop, it was either a hook up or a miss every cast. Problem was they were mostly border line so i would release most of them. I left them alone and went looking for some bigger trout but all i would catch was more reds. I caught reds on almost everything i threw at them. My uncle called me right before i was getting ready to leave and he wanted to catch some fish also. I ended up staying and fishing with him a while longer. It was fun and funny seeing each other hook up and then losing the fish right after a short fight. Conditions were perfect and catching was steady to hot ALL day. Just me i caught 10 keeper reds and 19 trout only 5 were keepers but still fun to catch. Only kept a few fish for fish fry. Heres a couple of pics of the small reds and a pic of the stringer.
