Walked in at 6 am, about 30 minutes later than I planned

Water clarity looked pretty decent. It was a little sandy still but good enough for trout. I could see my feet in thigh deep water. Tried to throw a shedog but it was just too rough. I couldn't go any deeper than thigh deep or I would start taking a beating and getting my reel soaked. Threw a bass assassin and had 2 bites. That was it. After about an hour, I went and walked a nearby rock groin. Talked to a guy I was watching chunk lures off it all morning and he had nothing. There was quite a bit of bait, especially close to the rock groins. I didn't see the usual rafts of mullet busting everywhere but bait was definitely in the area. As I was leaving and driving along the wall, it looked like the surf was already starting to calm. I bet it will be good this evening. I would drive back out and fish but my gas guzzling jeep is killing me. Should have slept in and fished the afternoon.

I bet a few random people whacked em this morning. Shrimp might have been a safer bet. Tight lines and green water to all

    GOD BLESS AND GIG'EM!

I hope I catch a 10 lb trout before I catch a flesh eating bacteria.

Was he a short skinny young guy? One of the guys we were with went down to a rock groin and fished for a while.
We didn't do any better than you!

No this guy was more middle-aged and he was already on the rocks when I got there at 6. How many guys were you with? Because as I was leaving I stopped to watch 3 guys pretty close together for 5 minutes to decide if the surf was getting flatter or not and if I wanted to jump in somewhere else. Before I left, the 3rd guy was the farthest west of the three and was walking back to the beach. Maybe that was yall? Kind of the eastern half of the sea wall where I saw them

After about 5 throws this morning with a shepup I switched to a jerkshad and had one hookup. Glad you got out and the water was nice despite the waves.

Jeremy, who can't get away from his job has to give his two cents. The funny part was, I did catch a coaker on a golden spoon. Yes, I had to resort to a spoon, just to get a tug on a line!

Mike I am not even taking the boat out. Going to be hopping in at different places. Didn't know about the live flounder rule. That kills my chances on that one. I wouldn't be able to keep bait alive even if I wanted to.
