Speaking of crowds......I had 500 yards to my east of open water 100 yards to my west (guys got there after me, good distance no worries) and had a wader get between me and the other group almost 10-15 yards away from where I was throwing my Mirrolure. You can't help stupid I guess or rudeness.

gorda will be crowded to. if the soft sand is bad you can drive down and find a spot. shell banks would be a good spot but its a long drive from the entrance. ive seen 4x4's get stuck in gorda.

Drove down to Surfside about 4:30pm today.
Water is nice and green in the jetty pocket.
Wind was from SE about 8.
Looked good but tons of peoples everywhere. Be careful of the little tiny ones running about.
It's also Freeport Fishing Fiesta weekend. Gonna be 250,000+ on the water for the entire weekend.
Glad I have to work.

nothing going on at mob today got skunked. in the water at 5:30 am and fished till 10. worst summer ever!

I agree; this has been an awfully tough summer for me. Maybe I'll go in access 6 and drive all the way to the Treasure Isle bulkheads and try there at first light.

Jumped in at 5:45 with several others and hand a few blow up before sunrise. Switch to bone spook and landed two solid trout and then a crowd showed up, poggies moved in and it turned off. Did see a shark jump out of the water blowing up bait, it was really cool to see. Hope everyone else did better!
