We really had decent water. A little rough at times, but clarity was nice. We limited out, but took us about 5 hours to do so.
Lots of good fish, 20+ with 25 being the biggest. Pirates beach, furthest east street, near the public beach entrance.
    Hhhmmmm....?
    Karma's a beach.

We got out there about 6:15 and caught some fish pretty quick. Bigger fish in the first gut, but caught fish in the second gut as well. Had 15 by about 9:00, and missed several more. Went back to the house to get a bigger cooler and ran across the street to get more ice. Met some friends on the west end of pirates beach who had 3. Fished with them for about 45 mins with nothing. The water was off-color brownish where they were are, so we went back to the spot on the east end about 10:15 and caught the rest of the limit. For whatever reason, the water was way better over there. Probably only 1/2 mile east of them. My buddy caught a 25 and I had 5 fish between 20-23". Very good quality fish

Great job and report Keith. I layed a big goose egg at The Pass tonight. The conditions were exactly as I like them and have had success with them many times in the past. Threw a gold spoon, a plum treuse assassin and a 51MR11 and not a single bump. Fished from 6:30 PM till after sunset. Shoulda taken a pic of the beautiful sunset as it occurred from my vantage point in the water looking back under the SLP Bridge. Anyhow it was still a great time fishing with my old fishing friend, Reality Czech (who also layed a big goose egg).

I got skunked on the galveston side of the pass on the bayside. 4 til 8 this evening. Even broke down and caught live bait. Mullet, mud minnows and 3 croaker. Just one fat hard head. It was dissapointing

That's why our sport and passion is so compelling as you just never know and so often there is no rhyme or reason for the day's results. I am a believer in perseverance and, if I can wake up at 4:45 in the AM, will join a couple of buddies for a 6-7:30 try on the pay beach in Surfside before work in the morning.

Great job; I couldn't buy a spec at Surfside this morning.
