surf report 5-23

hit surfside this morning to check things out. the water was blue to the beach even with the rough conditions. lots of seaweed on the beach and in the water. tried to catch some finger mullet but they were all to big for fishing so I went to the jetty. lots of smacks, jacks and trout being caught on live shrimp and spoons.

My longboard got put out for the garbage men 30-35 years ago, but I too, will be out tomorrow afternoon trying to find some trout, reds, flatties or anything. I guess your reference was about the surf, is it even rougher today than yesterday?
