Yeah I saw that on the map, thanks. So Im probably going to load the chevy and the cooler and head there Saturday. Thanks again for the tips guys really appreciate it.

You being new to the pass be careful. Make sure your around others when you fish just in case your first wow experience with the pass catches you off guard... Others are right... Everything can be fine one day and with a big tide push of water it can take you off your feet... I have fished in waist deep water with a strong tide and you have to "lean" into the current to not stumble.. Be carefulDon't follow my boat......I don't catch fish......

I think it has been said many times on this thread, but there have been more drownings at SLP than anywhere else on the Texas coast. Be careful ! Study the tide charts before you go, know when the water will be moving. http://www.tides4fishing.com/us/texas/san-luis-pass
