Waters not that great but you can still catch them with croaker I got these this morning across from rusty hook I lost a few due to this being my first time using croaker its pretty tricky.

Maybe I oughta soak some....went yesterday with kids more for fun for them. Tops most of morning only one blowup...ended up with one trout on plastic.

Got out of the surf about an hour ago. C&R about three dozen sand trout to 17". One speck mixed in. Soft plastics on a 1/4 oz. jig. Lot of fun!

After reading your post I just wanted to make sure you were not in the hospital; or worse yet, you didn't need someone to come post your bail in College Station...?

Either way, I hope you make it down as the water is looking much improved compared to the last week or so.

Shout at us if we need to put together a FWE posse to come get you out.
