there have been alot more bluefish showing up the last couple of years. some of the bigger ones pull like kingfish!
the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

Maybe a bluefish, they put up a good fight. I've caught a few of them around Galveston bay and the surf the past few weeks. For some reason, they are appearing in good numbers this year.
      x3, a good sized one.

They fight fast with lots of rapid shaking. I have seen more this year than all past years combined. Diving out of Galveston last week they were everywhere in giant schools.

They are OK broiled fresh. I had compared it with spanish mackerel and the smack was better so that plus the fact that they aren't that big means they have dropped off my list.
