  • popping corks only

tried the surf on surfside beach friday morning. too much seaweed. went to surfside jetties and limited on specks along with two friends. used different assortment of artificials with limited results. looked around and saw everyone else using popping corks and joined the club. first cast resulted in 22in speck. bite was constant with almost every fish landed. sorry no pics, fish were filleted, bagged, and thrown on ice as soon as caught. almost every cooler that came by us was full of trout, like 7 different groups of ppl!!! lots of sharks and the occasional bull red seen landed, lost a few "big somethings" of my own. all in all a good day.

              Sweet!

Yep, the live skrimps have been killing them. It is almost too easy and I have a freezer full so I may be leaving the bait bucket behind next time.

yea i have enough money invested in lures, no point in spending another $23 for a quart of shrimp...

I was tellin Sam, "Reef Drifter", last Sunday that in Florida, they sell shrimp by the Dozen,
not in Qts. Somewhere about $5.00 per, and their medium size, hand-picked are $1.00 more.

Popping corks are one of the best ways to fish. I love using them with shrimp tails and gulp. I'm also a believer in Mid Coast corks, they are supper durable and will help you cast farther and catch more fish. I believe that they will out fish a regular cork 5 to 1. My business will continue supporting their products. Pick you up a few and fish them, you will be more than satisfied.
