8/27 am 47th street report

Waded in before sunrise with my brother and two buddies, they were all throwing live I started on top. Topwater produced nothing so I switched to doa shrimp. Had a few strikes but couldn't hook up. Switched to a gold spoon, caught one dink. On live we caught 16 trout, 5 keepers, 2 big sand trout. Artificial was very slow all morning. Live is key if you are willing to throw it. Seems like it has slowed down in the last day or so for me. Water was fairly calm and could see my feet in waist deep water.

i looked for 47th street but couldn't find it so i headed down the beach were you in the jacked up jeep with the white kc lights or w/e? by the construction ?

Yeah its marked the lifeguard tower, it's just after academy from 61st street.

Same here caught one trout on a Sammy (topwater plug) at the flagship. Guy next to me was throwing live shrimp caught numerous trout and sandys.

Sounds like I should buy some skrimps for tomorrow, dang it!
