I normally fresh water fish, but I like reading this site and salt water fishing when I get the chance. All this talk of topwater in the surf has gotten me excited, since topwater is one of my main staples on the lake. It just so happens the old lady said that she is sleeping in tommorrow morning and gave me the ok to go fishing. So it looks like Im headed south with a pole and pocket full of Sammy's and Zara spooks. Now I just need to figure out where to go. Any hints would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site! Anywhere along the seawall where you can find calm waters and you will most likely find fish early in the morning. Fish have been hitting the top early before sunrise and until around 9-930 it seems...colors of choice have been bone and purple for myself. Also spoons, artificial shrimp, and even live under a cork has been excellent recently. I have been around 47th street to flagship hotel and have had luck at many spots along the wall. Will be down there tomorrow.
