  • 8/25 47th street am surf

Hit the surf with a buddy before sunrise 47th street g town. Started throwing a bone SS jr. with little luck, a few short strikes. Tried spoons, small rapala's, nothing would take. Switched to my bread and butter DOA shrimp in natural color. Caught 7 specs 4 keepers lost a solid 20" and a few sandies. Around 8:45 light breeze begins to blow, fish stop hitting. 9:15 WIND BLOWS MY FACE OFF. Walk back to my freshly sandblasted truck and rain begins...buddy and I ended up with 6 total...fun day on the water but I do hope we get some rain...mother natures carwash.

    Pics soon

I fished the entry point right after woody's and it was pretty weak. ended up hooking up with 5, landed two. perfect size eaters. They would only hit the small white skitter walk, and the spectrum ss jr. Would not touch a MAN sized lure. The water looked like a lake, should have known it was going to suck.

That storm turned nasty... funny thing is when we were leaving this morning that wind was starting to turn from the northeast to sw and the water was still green. Interested to see what it looks like now.
