Just started using the new Mitchell. Not what it was in the day, but for the price a good reel. Had 10 bearings, spins smoothly, and works great when you hook the fish. Goes for about $64.00. Don't get me wrong - this does not compare to a bait caster or a higher end spinner, but it is kinda nice. I use it off my dock and also on the bulk head for flounder.

My Dad loved the old Mitchell's. In the 60's & 70's, he and his cousins in Corpus used to tear up the trout with those and 52M's. He had bait casters but really preferred the Mitchell.Originally posted by davejacobs View PostJust started using the new Mitchell. Not what it was in the day, but for the price a good reel.
