Great winter and spring lure for me. (bigger presentation and imitates bigger mullet) I would personally trash that jig head and get you some Hogie screw locks in the black nickel.

Hammer is a topwater man! If if sinks at all it's too fast.

Those jig heads suck. They bend and they dont hold the lure at all.

great lure, bad jig head. Coastalobsession is correct on which one to use. Buy in bulk direct from Hogie.

Really i have had one bend on me yet and ive been hung up several times with them! But i have some hogues also just in lighter weight but not the screw on kind.

Caught a few trout on rat tail one myself. Only bad thing I saw on package was made in China.
