My uncle wanted to fish trinity for a while (despite my constant refusal due to boat traffic) and on Friday we decided to go. Winds were variable, with some times going up over 10 mph, while other times it is dead calm. Water clarity came and went with the winds. Launched our kayaks early. We found some birds working and I let my uncle get to work. He had two casts, and two good trout when literally 6-9 boats came up and swarmed the birds. Decided to leave parking lot and fish drop offs and rip rap. We ended up never leaving that small area and caught fish all day using TTF Hackberrys, KFM, and TTF Big Minnows. We left at 1:00 and left em biting. I ended up with a limit of trout to 22, and my short limit of flounder to 23. I had 4 reds hooked, with one spooling me, but I just couldn't get them today. My uncle almost got the ultimate slam with a limit of trout, a limit of reds, and 1 flounder.
I didn't take pics of my catch, but my uncle did (sans flounder).
