        It is 3", get out and pull it over a ridge/reef or whatever.

        3", It doesn't even make it over your ankle.

        I walk through deeper water when it rains!

          What keeper game fish do you catch surrounded by 3" of water.

          <------------------------------------------->

          Above is ~3"

            I would say redfish could be in that water.

              Yep. We go sight casting for reds and the occasional flounder in that water. In the marsh, you really don't want to get out of the yak because you have to trudge through knee deep mud.

                How much of a 20" red would be out of the water in said scenario?

                How many keeper redfish have you caught surrounded by such water? (not in 2 feet of water casting at a shoreline)

                    Well I am going to let jhua answer this one. I have caught a few in shallow water but I am sure jhua has a better answer her.

                          there are plenty of days i have to get super skinny in the marsh to get to the deeper lake or bayou farther back exspecialy if its winter & the water is blown out... sometimes its 50 yards or more. if i can drift in 3" instead of drag that distance my day just got 10 times better. id like to see you drag that PA loaded with the kitchen sink in some of the spots i go to sometimes.

                          dont get me wrong the PA is a great yak but not for shallow marsh fishing. it is better sooted for water deeper than 2' with the mirage drive. you add the turbo fins & that thing is sweet. i have even heard of storys when a boat breaks down & the PA tows them in.

                              So what percentage of keeper fish you catch in a year are caught in water that barely covers your foot?

                                Seems to me that the less you carry the less draft...right?

                                If you are going to stay out all day and venture out past the "marsh" next to the boat ramp (3-7 miles), you want to make sure you have everything you want.

                                You can't just make a quick trip back to the house or ramp.
