Does anyone know of a good place to find used kayaks ? Whether a store or online. After wading in Christmas Friday and getting passed up be by several yaks, I am interested.
I got the kitchen pass to get that fully rigged one at FTU, but if I can find a good used one that would be better.
    Thanks. Kenny Wayne

I picked mine up on TKF (http://www.texaskayakfisherman.com/forum/), but craig's lisp is a good place to look as well. The greatest advantage of TKF is that the folks on there know their kayaks so they usually have good ones listed.

Yep, if you watch TKF classifieds and are not in a hurry, you can get a smoking deal.

Got mine through the lisp. Better variety at TKF, but you may have to drive farther.

Most of us kayak fishermen would recommend that you not get a fully rigged boat (if buying new). One guys rod holder might be another one's curse, for example. Take a lightly rigged one out a few times and add stuff as you go.

Don't disagree with that strategy. The nice thing of buying used is that you can quickly pick up quite a few accessories along with the boat. I bought mine via TKF two + years ago and picked up an anchor, rudder, paddle, removable Scotty rod holders, fish bag and a small cooler in the deal - all for about 60% of the cost of a new bare boat.
