I s he still yor friend? Did you buy him a new pump? I had a friend that needed help with a water pump on his truck, so I showed him how to do it.Well he was taking forever & had no clue what he was doing so I took over. He came over a month after accusing me of not doing the job right which I did not charge him for. I looked at the truck & the fan came off, damaging his new radiator. I asked him who put the fan on & reminded him that he wanted to do some of it so I let him put the fan on. Well I still got blamed because he said thats what I told him to do.After closer inspection of the truck & him bringing the fan out of the garage, the hub came off the water pump. He then apologized.Today is a new day!!

Good advice! I helped a buddy last week change a $400 fuel pump on an airboat. Had to change a couple of fittings between the old and new pump to make the fuel line fittings fit but everything worked.Originally posted by fuzzy View PostLittle something you may want to think about if your helping a buddy.Let him do it.Just tell him how.Point and say do this do that. That way if something gets broke its his falt not yours.I broke the fuel line connection off a $400 dollar fuel pump a few days ago.Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

Ruh Roh. I see it this way-you allow it, you assume the responsibility associated with having a friend help you and you should be glad he tried/did, regardless of the outcome. what if your friend cut his finger off or burnt the heck outta his arm while helping you out of friendship and kindness-I think you should cover his unpaid expenses for the injury fix (like paying his deductible). If I dint have friends help fix stuff, my stuff would still be broken!!"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.
