  • Replaced POS Lowrance Mount

The plastic mount broke into three pieces Friday. It was cracked on one side, and had been glued with epoxy. It always shook when I was running anyway. I made a new mount this morning out of a old piece of starboard. Not very slick finish wise, but works great!

Looks good. I've broken 2 on mine as well. Cheap plastic mount that holds it to the console keeps coming apart.
      Shut up and FISH!!

Great, now when mine breaks, I know who to call to help fix it-KENNY!!

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Flush mount it, but may need external antenna. I did on my 5

Guess I'll know how to fix mine when it goes south. I take it off when boat on trailer, may last a little longer...or make anew one out of metal...

Nah, small console and not the optimum angle for viewing.

Nice job. Concerning viewing angle, I 'd like to mount mine to the hand rail just below eye level!

Scott, without using one of the Ram mounts, the only idea I have is use a motorcycle windshield mount somehow, or a fitting(s) like that from West Marine or iBoat.
