Minn Kota Bow Mount Wanted

I bought a Minn Kota Riptide 55 trolling motor from a guy at work. It is a stern mount, but I would like to convert it to a bow mount. I'm going to turn the control head 180 degrees, and that should be the easy part. The harder part is to replace the old saltwater transom bracket with a bracket designed for a bow mount. The Minn Kota tech suggested the Riptide SE bracket, but for $315 plus S&H I'm not too inclined to try it on this used motor that may not last very long (it is a 2008 model I believe). I would like to try this conversion if I could find a used bow mount. Do any of you know of a place to buy used Minn Kota parts--specifically a bracket for a bow mount motor?

Also, have any of you ever converted a stern-mount to a bow-mount Minn Kota? Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't know where get the parts but I have an older Motor Guide 52 bow mount that has been sitting in my garage for a couple of years. I am going to eventually take the flatbottom in to get it tuned up and then I was going to sell it together.
