All me wiring and batteries are in this compartment.It always has water in it.Sometimes water runs in when you launch.When you back if the jackplate is up.New hatches my help but they all leak.Whats the best brand hatch.Even thinking may need to change things up with a little glass work.

I would take the latch frame off & see if they ran a bead of silicone on them, none of mine were when I bought my boat.

I have 5 of those @!#$% things on my boat and they all leak too. I have one that needs replacing but I'm hesitant to buy another of the same kind knowing that it's gonna leak too.
