I have a CMC on my skiff for 10 years with no problems other than relays. Maybe you could thread that screw hole larger and get a matching screw.....

When I asked this question a long time ago, everyone said Bob's was the best because the pump is not exposed to the salt water. I got a bob's, but haven't saved up enough to get it put on yet.

On a small flats boat storage space is nonexistent, so I like the integral pump in the CMC.

Add some SWAK to the threads and extra teflon and let it sit up over night. If ou dont have an SWAK add pipe thread compond. Just a shot in the dark that might work in a desperate situation!

Its a pipe thread compond made by Swagelok. You sure the threads are matchings not an SAE thread with an o-ring. I would suspect you already checked that out being an ol Tug Boat Capt. Man I hate to see a bad thread kill the deal!! How abot drilling it out and using a thread insert to resize it. Let me know if you need some machine work done on it? BTW you called me today and when I answered all I could hear was someone taling in the background!! LOL

Right on. I know the feeling I love my boat now. I never even think about it being dependable!! All I worry about is food, feul, beer and ice. I dont have to worry about what is half broke anymore just load up and go!! Easy to clean and ready to go for the next trip. Lets go fish together soon!

We have a Bob's 2+ years and no problems. Even after not using the boat and all after months at a time.
