I run an 08 22 XLR8 with a 250HO and the best I could get out of it was 67.. 20 gal of gas 2 people slight chop and in the 50 deg weather. Tourney loaded im getting around 62ish top end.. Its an all around good boat for Galveston comfortably fishes 4 little cramped with 5 but doable. I can tell you that the Hayine and Tran do not have the same ride. Ive been in a 24 HO 23LS and 21 and the only one that comes close is the 24HO. The 20 LS Trans with a 250 should be pushing 70+ if you can keep the nose down... But I cant say enought about Donnie and his customer service. I had some hull work done and had it back within a week...
