A Few Specs

My son came home for turkey day so we spent a few hours in the bayou this morning. We got a late start, leaving Lute's at about 10:00. Tried a few spots north of Lutes and nothing. Cruised down to the wall and had a few strikes but couldn't hook up. We drifted between the wall and the upside down boat and started landing undersized specs. We decided to anchor just north of the boat and my son landed 2 nice 18" specs and a sand trout on a 4" black and silver plastic shad. I was throwing Gump shrimp and strawberry shad and came home empty handed once again.
He says he will come home to visit more often now that he knows I have a boat and the bayou is close by.
