I know you all have been laying awake at night wondering how far is was from Lutes to the bridge in Liverpool. Well it's almost 7 miles as the bayou goes. Wife and I took a little shakedown cruise with my boat that has been sitting idle for a year. Put in at Lutes and ran up the bayou trying not to run over all the skiers and wakeboarders on the way. You know, it's hard to load your boat back up with all the tidal waves those guys throw at you. Respecting any no wake areas we ran across, it took us 30 mins to make the bridge.

The water looked great all the way up. Would have been some good fishing if they hadn't all ran off to the diversionary canal.

You are the one that informed me about this "so called" canal. I will be down later this evening and might check to see if it is real. The old boat needs to be run since the new one won't be here for a couple of weeks. I will let you know if the rumors are true[emoji41]

Hey Anthony, that's not a very long run at all. I was wondering if the old Snug Harbor Dance Hall is still there or did Ike take it out ?
Ouooo, theres a nice hole where Pleasant drains into Chocolate and I wonder if the salt has made it that far yet. One of my favorite drains early early on or late late at dark time.
Some more too all the way up but its been a long while since I tried those.
You hit any stumps or trunks or cottonwood trees floating out ?

Hey Mike. I think that ole dance hall just rotted away. Last time I saw it was years ago and it was pretty ruff then. I had a slight bump on something with my motor, but never did see anything major that would do some damage. Tide was down really low so I was watching pretty close. I pulled up to my half built dock, and with the water so low , standing in my boat the dock was chest high. If it stays low like that, I'm gonna need a ladder to get on it.
