Had a mediocre AM on Chocolatte with the trash fish. Caught limit of Reds and a few specs. Lots of youngster trout and a few rat reds but the bite was early on and all caught on Cody's Mud Minnows with 4' leader and edge of channel.
The lady fish moved in about 0730hrs along with the dinks and rats. Only connected with 3 Croakers too small to box.
Boxed these two with hook&mouth disease.

Not a bad morning, Mike....at least you got out there and had a tug on a line. Next time, take me.....you can brag about how you caught the biggest (and most) fish!

Mike, what size hook are you using on the mud minnows and is it under a cork? I recently bought property in Liverpool and went out on my first fishing trip yesterday, not very successful. I launch at Lutes, where is going to be a good area to fish?
