It was not a great outlook on the day but my dad was in town from OK so we decided to head out from Fulshear and put in at 2004. It was his second time SW fishing and he hooked up on probably half a dozen dinks and managed to put one in the box. My day was slower but I did manage to land a PB speck of 22". I know, not all that impressive, but we grew up landlocked so I am just now getting the hang of SW fishing. The winds picked up to about 20 and it was starting to spit on us so we headed for the house. My dad was smiling like an 8-yr old all the way home. I imagine that's how I must have looked when he started taking me out with him over 30 years ago. He taught me everything I know about fishing FW and he's the reason my boys will be in the boat as soon as they can cast a line. On his next visit there will be 3 generations of lines in the water.
