I just moved to Chocolate in November. Bought a place on the bayou close to the cemetery. Between the cold weather, low tides, and working on the house, I haven't been able to fish as much as I wanted to. But the few nights I snuck out with my portable lights, all I caught were a few hardheads. Man I can't wait till the time change and warmer weather.
Hello, My name is Anthony, and I'm a Chocoholic.

Yes, I've caught trout north of Liverpool.

Where there,s TR's theres salty water and good fish. I worked with a guy near the Cemetery that has caught Bass, Crappie, Trout, Redfish all on the same day. Sounds like a nice place and its beautiful up that way. Stay at it and you'll conncet when you least expect it.

Danny, I hope your up that bayou in one of those 10 foot holes off the shoreline. We haven't had enough rain to affect the salinity of that water to make a bit of difference about trout being there. The mayor of Galveston has spoken. Lol. Former ally the mayor of Freeport. Lsm.

Your honor when the conditions are warmer and nicer we still need to make a trip. I prefer shorts, tank top, and sandals when I hit the elements. You can keep the haul too. Damn sure all those fishy tasting Red Drum that normally get tossed over along with the Ladyfish and Sailtops.

Customary dress code for an islander. I'll keep a couple flounder or a trout or two but unless my friends at the homeless shelter or old folks home need for me to deliver, I too toss 'em back. Especially redfish, they're an endangered species.lol

I prefer Cod or Tilapia over Redfish anyday!! I fried the last one for the old couple next door but once I got those filets fried I dumped the grease out and fried me some battered up Cod and Tilapia. Damn sure didn't want good fish picking up that nasty Redfish flavor.
The slot is just the opposite on Redfish. Any under 16" is what are good to eat. Anything over is nasty. Skillet size is best but illegal.
                            Don't make sense to me.
