I've been out the past 3 weekends. I would say it's been pretty good. I don't have high expectations chunking hardware in August but I've been catching some pretty solid stringers in West/Chocolate.

Within past week once in the evening and once yesterday in morning. Full boat with wife and grandson. I never landed a fish but wore out a bait bucket and bloodied fingers from baiting hooks. Almost static tide movement both times. Best bites and fish caught were dawn30 and dusk30. Just outside channel and above 2004 Bridge. So I'm assuming more action at night or when the sun aint there and deeper water. Tons of Ladyfish. They have there own way of disturbing a bait and always make me laugh. Gotta get a generator for nite lights and storm insurance so now is a great time. I would imagine the bayou homes with lights would be having success if the bugs aint feasting.

I screwed up my left knee during my last trip , 7-12,13-2013 sea isle ...seeing the orthopedic md friday . Been spending other fridays having thyroid tests , ultrasound , eyes checked and new glasses , boat in the shop for a week . Getting older isn't for the faint hearted . Wind has stunk . I'll get a report , god willing , not too long from now .

I went last week ,didn't get to do much. The storms ran us off ,out of the water just in time.

I went out with a friend and our daughters yesterday am. We hit a few drains and reefs, but with no tidal movement it was darned slow even with live shrimp. We caught a few hardheads and ladyfish and one nice 20" keeper spec and that was it for the day.
The most spectacular moment of the day was a beaut of a miscast by yours truly. We were throwing spinners with popping corks and my bail tripped in the middle of the cast sending the skrimp straight down into the water beside the boat. When I picked it up there was a ladyfish attached! I didn't even get to fight it! LOL!
Nice day on the water but I wish the girls would have caught more.

HA ! Stuff happens . You'll do better next time . Once I was slapping the water to rid my spoon of some sea grass when a trout came up and snatched it . HA!

One flounder.water was in good shape but started getting chitty when I left. A lot of jack wagons out there. Had one guy come by me in a back lake idle by and then hole shot within 15 ft of passing me. Had the wife and boy on the boat so I just left, but i know your boat now, you arse...
