Back out again this AM and WOW was it worth it! Clear water like yesterday evening and just the slightest of breeze. Tide was low however and hardly noticeable in movement. My ol dumb arse passed through a small slick heading out by Monsantos Bubble Barrier where they are driving steel pilings. My attention and curiosity was on that activity and why I don't know but maybe because I used to work those docks 40 years ago so memories are there. Caught the whiff and then saw the swirling and agitated water. Not large in size at all but I had passed through it before coming back and shrimping it. Had a few hit but no size. I know for sure a few boats had already passed through it as I was late this am. About 0700 hrs. The Ladyfish were still where my wife and I left them yesterday. So I caught and had a ball with them again. Couple small trout and 1 tiny tiny Red with the same ol Croaker family. Not many boats out at all. And it got hot early and the breeze was there but not too bad. Oh, and there is a red and white cork with a huge fish of some kind on it as I saw it goin out and comin back. I tried to grab it but everytime I got close it dived and hid. Im praying someone will grab it once it gives out and tires out. Its before the Barge entrance to the docks at Monsanto.
