what in the world are "GeoTubes" ? I've seen the outline on GoogleEarth and saw on some map somewhere in the past the ones close to Wharton Camp. If these are physical objects than they were placed in a terrible place on the flats west of Wharton camp. Why o why would someone do this ?

All along the south shoreline between Jamaica Beach and Starvation Cove-many have "sunk" and are just inches below the water-sure will be exciting to watch the Memorial Day weekend yahoos running into them.
